Course Instructions

1. Graduate programs: Applicable to Graduate Core Curriculum

The online course consists of 18 core modules, 20 minutes each, for a total study time of 6 hours.

2. Five-year junior college, two-year junior college, four-year technical program, two-year technical program: Applicable toUndergraduate and Junior Collegecourses. The online course consists of 18 core modules, 20 minutes each, for a total study time of 6 hours. (Note: For students admitted in Academic Year 2018 or 2019, the total required study time is 2 hours).

3. After completing the coursework, you must pass the online final test. Passing the test fulfills the University’s requirements. Students may arrange their own study schedule, and the system will retain records of completed lessons.

Requirements for Taking Courses

(I) Graduate programs: as a principle, complete the course by the end of the first academic year after admission. Only those who pass may apply for the degree examination.

(II) Five-year junior college, two-year junior college, four-year technical program, two-year technical program: complete before graduation. This is included as a graduation requirement and only those who pass may receive a diploma.

Exemption Application

(I) Graduate programs: students who have completed 6hours or more of research ethics education courses at the graduate level through other channels and hold proof of completion must fill out the “Application for Exemption from the University’s Research Ethics Education Course for Students” and submit it to their department or degree program for review. Exemption may be granted upon approval.

(II) Five-year junior college, two-year junior college, four-year technical program, two-year technical program: students who have completed 6 hours or more of research ethics education courses through other channels and hold proof of completion must fill out the “Application for Exemption from the University’s Research Ethics Education Course for Students” and submit it to their department for review.
